A phrase you can play with.

Eldora Duet is a pentaphonic software synthesizer with a part to keep and a part to play. Record a connected phrase, set it playing, then add a keyboard part of your own. Both draw on one five-voice instrument.

Eldora Duet interface design mockup: chorusing, sequencer, three oscillators, modulation, keyboard, filter and amp sections above a circular sequence display, recorder, follow, mono, listen, loop and output sections.
Approved interface design mockup, not the running software. The current instrument’s LISTEN section has a second control, BLEND, not shown here.

Record a phrase. Play its other half.

The recorded part and the live keyboard belong to the same instrument. Five voices are shared, not doubled, and each part has its own level.

  1. RecordRECORD arms the take. The first note begins it; releasing the last held key ends it.
  2. PlayPLAY repeats the recorded part while you play alongside it on the same five voices.
  3. TimingRATE, PLAYED or STEP. Step entry and phrase recording edit the same take.
  4. SyncFREE runs on its own clock; HOST follows host playback.
  5. BalanceSeparate SEQUENCER and KEYBOARD levels.
  6. UndoUNDO recalls the previous take; press again to return to the newer one.
